The new FT-70DE is a YAESU System Fusion radio providing both conventional analog FM communication and advanced C4FM digital communication.
The Yaesu FT-70DE delivers up to 5W of power, and its large front speaker guarantees loud and clear 700mW audio output. Users can expect exceptional sound quality thanks to the improved Bit Error Rate (BER) characteristics provided by C4FM.
The FT-70DE features a unique Automatic Mode Select (AMS) function. AMS detects whether the received signal is in digital C4FM or analog FM mode, and then automatically and instantly switches the receiver to the appropriate mode. Users do not need to manually switch between modes. A multi-color LED indicator on the front panel lets the operator easily see which mode the radio is currently in. This indicator clearly shows the transmit/receive mode by changing color, so the operating mode is easily recognizable at a glance.
The Yaesu FT-70DE also features a Digital Group Monitor (GM) function with DG-ID (Digital Group Identification) and DP-ID (Digital Personal Identification). Radios set to the same DG-ID or DP-ID can communicate with each other. DG-ID and DP-ID can be selected from 00 to 99. This provides high flexibility, allowing users to enjoy group communication with friends in GM mode according to their individual needs.
The radio has an IP54 rating (for dust and water), making it suitable for use in the toughest conditions.

IMPORTANT!
The radio is not factory-programmed.
To be able to use it right after purchase, it must be properly programmed!
After purchase, please specify in the notes to the seller the frequencies you would like the radio programmed to!
The radio can be programmed using dedicated computer software and a special PC programming cable, which can be purchased separately as an optional accessory.
Any programming and modification of the original settings must be carried out by a specialist technician or an authorized service center. Some functions of the radio may be programmed in violation of the legal regulations applicable in a given area or country for the VHF and UHF bands used by this radio. It is solely the user's responsibility to ensure that any changes made through optional reprogramming comply with the current regulations and laws regarding radiocommunication in that area. Making any changes to the designed current levels inside the radio (including the device's power output), to the external construction of the radio, or programming that violates the regulations of a given country automatically voids the product's declared conformity certificates and the owner's right to use the device. This responsibility also extends, after the above-mentioned modifications are made, to third parties and to those who resell such a product.
HamRadioShop disclaims any liability for any modified product as described above that ends up in the hands of a user or any third party in a manner inconsistent with the product's intended use, the Manufacturer's and Distributor's Declaration of Conformity, or the Radio License.
Programming inconsistent with the device's intended use or the Radio License most often leads to interference with the operation of other users of frequency resources, which prompts regulatory authorities to investigate and identify the effects of the interference in order to ensure the proper operation of other users.
IMPORTANT! This radio operates on frequencies that are not generally available. The user should hold a radio license authorizing transmission using this radio.
