5W output power on the 136-174 MHz and 400-480 MHz bands (the so-called unlocked version), FM radio (66-108 MHz), CTCSS and DCS, a scrambler (basic encryption), 200 memory channels, and CTCSS/DCS scanning are just the key features of the TYT TH-UV88 radio. The extensive 41-position menu allows you to set the frequency scanner, adjustable white backlight for the display showing two frequencies/channels, dual watch (alternating monitoring of two frequencies), and three-step transmit power adjustment (5/2.5/1W for the VHF 136-174 MHz band and 4/2/1W for the UHF 400-480 MHz band).
The excellent material used for the housing - a slightly textured surface - makes the TYT TH-UV88 sit perfectly in the hand.
Thanks to its wide operating range, the radio lets you listen to amateur radio bands, the Police, Fire Service, Ambulance, Polish Railways (PKP), taxis, security services, and all other uniformed and municipal services
The charging cradle allows charging both the whole radio and the battery alone.
The TYT TH-UV88 can be programmed from a computer using the same cable as the Baofeng UV-5R or Baofeng UV-82.
The antenna connector uses the SMA-M standard (the same as in ICOM, Yaesu, or Kenwood radios), and the accessory connector is compatible with Baofeng-brand devices (letting you choose accessories from a very wide range of products).

IMPORTANT!
The radio is not factory-programmed.
To be able to use it right after purchase, it must be properly programmed!
After purchase, please specify in the notes to the seller the frequencies you would like the radio programmed to!
The radio can be programmed using dedicated computer software and a special PC programming cable, which can be purchased separately as an optional accessory.
Any programming and modification of the original settings must be carried out by a specialist technician or an authorized service center. Some functions of the radio may be programmed in violation of the legal regulations applicable in a given area or country for the VHF and UHF bands used by this radio. It is solely the user's responsibility to ensure that any changes made through optional reprogramming comply with the current regulations and laws regarding radiocommunication in that area. Making any changes to the designed current levels inside the radio (including the device's power output), to the external construction of the radio, or programming that violates the regulations of a given country automatically voids the product's declared conformity certificates and the owner's right to use the device. This responsibility also extends, after the above-mentioned modifications are made, to third parties and to those who resell such a product.
HamRadioShop disclaims any liability for any modified product as described above that ends up in the hands of a user or any third party in a manner inconsistent with the product's intended use, the Manufacturer's and Distributor's Declaration of Conformity, or the Radio License.
Programming inconsistent with the device's intended use or the Radio License most often leads to interference with the operation of other users of frequency resources, which prompts regulatory authorities to investigate and identify the effects of the interference in order to ensure the proper operation of other users.
IMPORTANT! This radio operates on frequencies that are not generally available. The user should hold a radio license authorizing transmission using this radio.
