Duplex (two slots) HotSpot based on Raspberry Pi ZERO W (with support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n) with an expansion HotSpot-RTQ UHF (Ready To QSO) MMDVM Hotspot supporting D-Star, Yaesu Fussion, DMR and P25.
After initial configuration, the HotSpot will be ready to operate D-Star, Yaesu Fussion, DMR and P25.
The HotSpot has a built-in WiFi module (default SSID is TZB, password is 13902982913), which can be configured to work with your own WiFi network.
To do this, visit the page http:/www.pistar.uk/wifi_builder.php, fill in your network name and password. After confirming the details, save the configuration file to the SD card included with the HotSpot.
If you do not want to provide this information, then edit the file located on the card wpa_supplicant.conf and in the network section enter your network name (ssid) and password (psk), both must be enclosed in double quotes "", e.g. ssid='myNetworkName', psk='myPassword'.
After starting the HotSpot, log in to it by entering http:/pi-star or http:/HotSpot_IP (username: pi-star, password: raspberry) fill in with your details.
As the display type, select from the drop-down list OLED3 without changing the port, while the modem type:
- STM32-DVM / MMDVM_HS - Raspberry Pi Hat (GPIO).
Fill in your details: callsign, DMR ID, and select the frequency of the radio built into the HotSpot within the amateur band range of 430-440MHz.
Configure the talk groups and the other fields required for operation in the selected mode.
The HotSpot can operate in all DMR, Fussion, D-Star and P25 modes simultaneously - with one device you can connect all your radios to the appropriate networks.
