The CRT 8900 is basically very similar to the CRT SS-7900V, but with a smaller housing and an additional VHF receiver
A new, high-performance 10 m mobile radio with a very large LCD display, offering all the features you would expect from a 10 m mobile radio.
The front panel is the same as on the CRT SS7000, but the housing is much smaller and contains a newly developed circuit board.
The radio also has a built-in VHF receiver that can be programmed in the 136-174 MHz range (e.g. for 2 m or marine use).
The radio can be programmed using a PC, but it can also be programmed manually on all frequencies from 25 to 30 MHz (for use where permitted).
The radio uses a modular microphone plug, but another microphone can also be used.
