The new FT-710 Field transceiver is a portable version of the radio equipped with a carrying strap (the SP-40 external speaker is an optional item). The radio has a compact design but delivers 100 W output power, using the advanced digital RF technology introduced in the FTDX101 and FTDX10 series.
The FT-710 FIELD can also operate on the 70MHz (4m) band and the 5MHz (60m) band after changing the region to UK.
The region modification does not require any electronic modification and does not void the warranty.
The unlock extends the transmit band, for the Yaesu FT-710 as follows:
- 1.8 – 30 MHz
- 50 – 54 MHz
- 70 – 70.5 MHz
