The title of leader among miniature VHF/UHF transceivers has just been taken over by the newest product from QYT, the KT-WP12 model, also known as the KT-9900.
25 W, fully waterproof housing, full control of the radio from the microphone with a built-in color display and speaker makes this radio an ideal solution for those looking for a radio for a motorcycle or scooter. It also works great in cars where there is no room to install a larger radio.
Despite its small size, it is a fully legal transceiver with all the functions a car radio should offer.
25W of output power on the high setting is really a lot for such a small radio.
Thanks to its compact size and low current draw, it can easily be used as an expedition radio or on a motorcycle/scooter.
The large and legible color matrix display allows free selection of font colors, background, etc.
The speaker built into the microphone is loud and clear. The microphone is equipped with a numeric keypad allowing the operating frequency to be entered.
The extensive yet clear menu will allow the user to customize the radio to their needs.
The very fast Triple Watch, allowing you to listen to up to 3 frequencies (or fewer if you like), is a feature that sets this radio apart from other models.
The radio has built-in support for 2Tone / 5Tone, DTMF.
Of course, FM radio has not been forgotten.
The icing on the cake is a properly functioning received signal level indicator.
Upon request, the radio can be programmed.

IMPORTANT!
The radio is not factory-programmed.
To be able to use it right after purchase, it must be properly programmed!
After purchase, please specify in the notes to the seller the frequencies you would like the radio programmed to!
The radio can be programmed using dedicated computer software and a special PC programming cable, which can be purchased separately as an optional accessory.
Any programming and modification of the original settings must be carried out by a specialist technician or an authorized service center. Some functions of the radio may be programmed in violation of the legal regulations applicable in a given area or country for the VHF and UHF bands used by this radio. It is solely the user's responsibility to ensure that any changes made through optional reprogramming comply with the current regulations and laws regarding radiocommunication in that area. Making any changes to the designed current levels inside the radio (including the device's power output), to the external construction of the radio, or programming that violates the regulations of a given country automatically voids the product's declared conformity certificates and the owner's right to use the device. This responsibility also extends, after the above-mentioned modifications are made, to third parties and to those who resell such a product.
HamRadioShop disclaims any liability for any modified product as described above that ends up in the hands of a user or any third party in a manner inconsistent with the product's intended use, the Manufacturer's and Distributor's Declaration of Conformity, or the Radio License.
Programming inconsistent with the device's intended use or the Radio License most often leads to interference with the operation of other users of frequency resources, which prompts regulatory authorities to investigate and identify the effects of the interference in order to ensure the proper operation of other users.
IMPORTANT! This radio operates on frequencies that are not generally available. The user should hold a radio license authorizing transmission using this radio.
