We are pleased to present the latest mobile dual-bander AnyTone AT-5888UV.
This 50-watt radio (with four power levels) is equipped with a range of interesting features known from Japanese mobile transceivers, such as two independent receivers enabling full-duplex operation, a detachable front panel, cross-band repeater, 2Tone/5Tone calling, DTMF, and up to 758 memory channels, airband receiver (AM: 108-134 MHz).
In tests, the AnyTone AT-5888UV transceiver received very good ratings from operators, who especially praised its excellent modulation.
The adjustable output power (declared and measured) is: 50W, 25W, 15W and 5W on the 2-meter band, and 40W, 25W, 15W and 5W on the 70-centimeter band.
The extensive yet very intuitive menu allows you to quickly customize the radio to your needs.
Among the more interesting features are two full and independent receivers enabling full-duplex operation - each with independent volume control), activated with 3 menu clicks cross-band repeater, a display color that you can set yourself (adjustable from 1 to 32 for each component: red, green, and blue), airband reception starting from as low as 108 MHz up to 134 MHz.
A few words should be said about the very well-designed microphone with a DTMF keypad and four programmable function buttons (each button can be assigned one of a dozen or so functions, e.g. a 1750 tone). Entering frequencies directly from the microphone, UP/DOWN buttons, and the option to enable a microphone keypad lock are all standard.
On the rear panel there is an SO-259 antenna socket (commonly known as UC1), an external speaker output, and a very quiet fan that only turns on after extended high-power transmission.
